Training.

Training.

I am a leading expert in how to use inclusive design practices within essential services.

Are you:

  • A financial services firm implementing improvements to how your team designs for so-called ‘vulnerable customers’?
  • Looking for engaging and inspiring training on how to design products that meet new Consumer Duty standards?
  • A startup accelerator looking for someone to train and coach your cohort on how to approach product design and useful user research?
  • A charity or think tank that wants to bring on board someone with deep fintech expertise and a network to supplement your project?

If so, I can help.

I’ve worked in fintech since 2012, and in 2018 I founded a fintech-for-good, Toucan. We used inclusive design principles to ship and test new products aimed at so-called ‘vulnerable customers’.

In 2021 I authored a guide to Inclusive Design published by Fair By Design and the Money Advice Trust, later referenced by the FCA in official guidance.

In 2021 and 2022 I went on to train several cohorts of the Money Advice Trust’s Vulnerability Academy on these principles.

I have also acted as a trainer and entrepreneur-in-residence for LSE Generate and Ignite startup accelerators, coaching entrepreneurs on inclusive design and product discovery methods.

I can also deliver lunch-and-learn talks on these topics, which I have done for clients such as Virgin Money and UCL.

“Bailey is an excellent facilitator, highly motivated, taking the lead where required, which she has the experience and gravitas to do.  Bailey is always well prepared and working with her was a pleasure.” – Dougie Robb, Smart Data Foundry
"What you shared about acknowledging the reality of exclusion, and adopting a mindset of designing for everyone, without labels of vulnerability or disability, really grabbed the minds and hearts of colleagues. Colleagues were both moved and motivated to make a difference." – Joanna Finlay, Virgin Money
